The Aspirations Academy: creating outstanding enrichment opportunities for the more able.
In September 2015, Ormiston Horizon Academy launched their Aspirations Academy in order to offer support for ambitious more able students with high aspirations.
The Aspirations Academy supports all students who aspire to university, in particular one of the leading Russell Group institutions. As an academy we have close links with both local and national universities, including Keele and Oxford University, where visits are arranged to give students an authentic academic experience.
Some of the opportunities available to Aspirations Academy students are listed below:
The programme of study also includes opportunities for KS3 students to work with OHA6 students to develop independent learning skills. Additionally there are master classes during period 6 to stretch and challenge learning in subjects ranging from maths to Art.
Students are also given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and participate in a wide range of extra- curricular activities to give them the competitive edge in their personal statement when it comes to applying for university.

Congratulations to all our A-level students who received their results this morning. We are proud of all of you and wish you the very best of luck in the next step of your journey. Remember, you will always be an OHA-er. Keep in touch. #alevelresults2019 https://t.co/tvUQos9ZBy https://t.co/BKY4MSCjbi
