Free home to school travel

The local authority has informed us that all secondary pupils in years 7 to 11 not already in receipt of free transport who come from families on low income are entitled to free home to school travel if they fulfill the following criteria.

They are a resident in Stoke-on-Trent City Council Area (i.e. your Council Tax is paid to Stoke-on-Trent City Council). 

They live 3 miles or more from the nearest appropriate school to their home and they are from a low income family where either the pupil has been registered for free school meals or the family is in receipt of the maximum level of working tax credit.

If you meet this criteria and would like to apply for free transport, application forms are available from the Stoke-on-Trent Transport Team on 01782 233232/236868.
